annual dinner 2004 ...

Back in September 2004, Great Shelford Tennis Club held an Grand Finals' Day Dinner at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. Starting with Pimms in the gardens to the sound of a string quartet, we moved inside for a sumptuous four course meal (the consensus was that the food was excellent). After dinner, the speeches were short, the wine and port flowed, and we had a quiz (won, rather dubiously, by the team that included both dinner organisers, Nick Tait and David Grainger). The evening was rounded off by an "Alternative Awards Ceremony" in which the happiest people were the one's who didn't get an award. Look how much fun we had ...
