dinner ...

to celebrate 70 glorious years ...

Seventy members and their partners dined in the sumptuous elegance of the Great Hall, Jesus College, Cambridge on Saturday 14th October 2006

Following the champagne pre prandials and a meal of mushroom and goats cheese tart with crème fraiche, paupiettes of lemon sole with prawns, warm casarecci and sweet potato salad, noisettes of lamb with mint and honey, Beef tomato with herbed lemon pearl barley and 70th anniversary cake with coffee/port (and plenty of fine wine!), the members enjoyed a light hearted quiz before listening to a short speech and various presentations from Club Chairman, Nick Tait, before culminating in the presentation of the Plaque to the Ladies 1st Team, who became County Champions for the first time in the Club's history
