Safeguarding

We strive to ensure that all children, young people and adults at risk are safeguarded from abuse and have an enjoyable tennis and padel experience.

Everyone who is involved in tennis and padel has a shared responsibility to support this by promoting the welfare of all children, young people and adults at risk.

Active Partnerships Sport Welfare Officers

In 2024, Active Partnerships across England appointed Sport Welfare Officers (SWO) to support National Governing Bodies (NGBs) and local clubs to promote good practice and safer sport. The LTA works with Active Partnerships to ensure the SWOs are being utilised in the best way for our sport.  SWOs will principally be involved in providing advice to clubs, but will not be involved in the Venue Support Visit process or dealing with any safeguarding concerns.  Queries about the SWO role should be directed to the LTA via our Enquiry Page.
